Welcome to DK Mental Health: A New Chapter in Care and Connection
Hi there, and welcome! I’m Dana Kravitz, the founder of DK Mental Health, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this new chapter with you. DK Mental Health isn’t just my next professional step—it’s a dream realized. This practice is rooted in my belief that therapy should be a space where people feel safe, seen, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
For years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients through their most vulnerable, challenging, and (sometimes unexpectedly) transformative moments. I’ve seen firsthand how resilience grows when people feel truly heard and supported—and I’m here to keep that work going, with even more focus and intention than ever before.
Why I Started DK Mental Health
After years of working as the sole therapist in a busy practice, I knew I wanted to expand my impact. Therapy has always been about more than the hour we spend together in a session—it’s about creating ripples of growth, understanding, and change that extend far beyond those four walls. With DK Mental Health, I hope to do just that.
This is more than a therapy practice to me. It’s a place where people can come to unpack the hard stuff, build tools that actually work, and, ultimately, create lives that feel authentic and fulfilling. And if along the way we can de-stigmatize mental health and build a supportive community? Even better.
What You Can Expect at DK Mental Health
Here’s what I hope you’ll feel when you walk through DK Mental Health’s metaphorical doors (or literal ones, if you’re local):
A Customized Approach: Your story is yours alone, and your therapy should reflect that. I draw on evidence-based methods like the Gottman Method, Attachment-Based Therapy, and CBT to create a plan that works for you.
A Collaborative Relationship: Therapy isn’t something I prescribe; it’s something we do together. I bring my expertise and support, you bring your goals and insights, and together, we figure out the path forward.
A Warm, Safe Space: Look, therapy can feel intimidating. I get it. My job is to make sure it’s a place where you feel heard, respected, and maybe even a little lighter at the end of the day.
What You’ll Find in This Blog
One of the things I’m most excited about is this blog. It’s a way for DK Mental Health to go beyond the therapy room and share resources, insights, and conversations with anyone who might need them. Here’s a taste of what’s to come:
Actionable Self-Care Tips: From managing anxiety to building confidence, I’ll share practical advice you can use in your daily life.
Relationship Insights: Whether you’re looking to improve communication, rebuild trust, or just keep the spark alive, this is for you.
Trauma Recovery Guidance: Navigating healing from trauma can feel overwhelming, but I’ll share insights and strategies to help you feel more grounded and in control.
Women’s Health Topics: From postpartum mental health to breaking stigmas around therapy for women, we’ll tackle it all.
Timely and Trending Topics: Let’s talk about navigating burnout, managing social media overwhelm, and surviving this wild world we’re all in together.
My hope is that these posts will offer not just information, but comfort—because mental health isn’t just about the big breakthroughs; it’s also about the little reminders that you’re not alone.
Looking Ahead
DK Mental Health isn’t just a new chapter for me—it’s a new opportunity to help people rewrite their own stories. Whether you’re navigating a tough season or simply looking for ways to grow, I’m here for it.
This blog, like DK Mental Health itself, is just the beginning. I’m excited to see how it evolves and how we can keep building something that feels meaningful and impactful—not just for my clients, but for anyone seeking a little more clarity, connection, or kindness in their lives.
Thank you for being here. If you’re ready to explore therapy or just want to learn more about what DK Mental Health offers, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s take this first step together.
