Meet Dana Kravitz Founder/Therapist

Dana Kravitz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the DMV with a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate life’s most challenging moments. With a Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and years of experience in clinical therapy, Dana brings both expertise and empathy to her work. Her specialties include anxiety, trauma, women’s health, relationships, self-worth, and sex therapy.

Dana founded DK Mental Health to expand her impact, offering clients a compassionate, collaborative approach to mental health care. After years of working as the sole therapist at a thriving practice, Dana’s vision for DK Mental Health was born: to create a space where therapy is both deeply personal and expertly guided.

Our Approach

At DK Mental Health, therapy is more than a conversation—it’s a partnership. Dana’s approach is rooted in trust, warmth, and evidence-based techniques. Drawing from methods like the Gottman Method, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she tailors each session to meet her clients’ unique needs.

Dana is both a listener and a coach, creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, validated, and encouraged to take action. Her strength-based philosophy focuses on empowering clients to step outside their comfort zones and embrace practical skills for coping, growth, and resilience. Whether you’re seeking clarity during a life transition or healing from trauma, Dana works with you to identify goals and take transformative steps toward mental and emotional wellness. Her ultimate aim is to help clients build a life that feels authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with their values.
